roughly speaking , in the case of an equity joint venture,,....while with a contractual joint venture....,
each of the two sides will invest a certain portion of the capital and share profits or losses in proportion to their respective contributions.
the profits or losses are not determined by their contributions but are agreed upon by the two sides and written into the contract explicitly.

the recently revised joint venture law has taken it into consideration.
according to the old law. a certain portion of the joint venture products must be exported.and the venture 's procurement must be made locally , but such restrctions are all lifted under the new law.
what is more, the various preferential policies,such as taxation policies,remain unchanged.so i would say the new law provides an even more encouraging environment to foreign investors .
